The Future Of Hydrogen

Hydrogen is becoming more and more popular as it is considered low polluting energy. The International Energy Agency found that hydrogen is enjoying an increasing business momentum, encouraging us all to scale up technologies and support its wide use. We are working in that exact direction. We are working on the development of hydrogen infrastructure in the Netherlands. To obtain a better understanding of the total supply chain of hydrogen we are also investigating technology readiness levels of other components of the hydrogen supply chain. One of those is the supply of hydrogen by using ammonia as a carrier molecule. In that light, we want to know which parties are working on industrial crackers to convert ammonia to hydrogen and their cracking capacity. In addition, we want to be aware of the technology readiness level of these emerging cracking technologies or of the cracking capacity of existing technologies. Ultimately, we should have a thorough understanding of the ammonia cracking market currently and of its future developments.
